"Animals, Nature and Total Rest"
We went as a family of three - two adults and a 25kg dog - and we loved it!
The farm is huge and the animals are very docile and friendly. The area is also very peaceful, great for those who want to take a few days to relax and switch off 100%.
Jorge was always available for anything, and he quickly replied with a message.

"Simple, Authentic, Unforgettable"
If you're looking for unique accommodation outside Porto, this is it. The place itself, the lemon farm and the horses that roam freely around the property are all incredibly beautiful. Collecting fresh lemons to make homemade lemonade while greeting and stroking the horses made this one of our most memorable trips so far! As well as being able to warm up at night with a fire in the wood-burning stove.
Jorge was a lovely host! Extremely kind and welcoming, he offered wonderful local recommendations and was very helpful in organizing a cab service for us!!! 🙂
11/10 I recommend this stay to anyone looking to relax and enjoy some quiet quality time.

Our stay at Retiro do Limões was unforgettable. Situated on the outskirts of Porto, this tranquil retreat offered the perfect combination of nature, comfort and charm. The setting was serene and full of character, from the citrus trees to the rustic elegance of the property.
But what really made our visit special were the horses. Their calm presence and gentle nature added something truly meaningful to our experience. Whether we were watching them graze at sunset or simply being close to them, they brought a sense of connection to the land and peace that we hadn't expected, but deeply appreciated.

“Hospitality and comfort”
We stayed at Vila dos Limões for three nights and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The heated indoor pool was essential for the cold days. The farm is quiet, and there's an incredible lemon grove to stroll around at dawn. Jorge was helpful and sent us several recommendations for restaurants in the area, which we didn't use because we really wanted to enjoy the house. I highly recommend it and we're already planning to stay at one of the other two options on hot days.
